Jeremy Cares, Inc.
We create support & moments of joy for families of children going through a medical crises
Jeremy Cares Inc is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission to enrich the lives of families with children dealing with serious illnesses by promoting emotional and social healing by working with other local organizations to support and help the the families regain feelings of control, improve self-image, and to diminish the stresses that illness creates for the entire family. This is accomplished by partnering with other facilities in Northeastern Ohio that provide medical care or support to the families. It is our goal to create moments of joy for families based on our founding philosophy of paying it forward and the belief that a little caring can go along way in creating hope.
Our organization focuses exclusively on the needs of children in medical crises as well as the needs of their families. We are a 100% volunteer organization that takes no salary for any of our Trustees. All funds raised goes directly to the families we serve. Our programs include college scholarships, Holiday gift deliveries for children and families hospitalized during that time, and a program that focuses exclusively on the needs of the siblings of sick children to help them with their unique challenges. We also provide monetary support such as gas cards and grocery cards to families who need them to care for their sick child. We work with local hospitals and medical professionals to identify the families most in need of our services. $25,000 would provide us with the means to expand our outreach to help more families during the most stressful time in their lives. Our goal is to never have to turn away a child or family that needs the services we provide.
This award will help us to expand our college scholarship program and other programs. Several of our applicants every year are in dire financial straights, and this will help us to fund their dream of attending college after treatment is completed. This program also awards scholarships to the siblings, as they are just as deserving due to helping their brother or sister heal from their medical challenges. We provide aid directly to the families of the patients so that the funds are not lost within the vast "machine" of the major hospitals in our area. We also have remodeled the play room at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and renovated the family patio at Ronald McDonald House in Cleveland. Our Benny's Buddies program directly serves siblings of sick children. These projects are serving families for years to come. We will provide even more services like these for local families as we work with medical professionals to identify these needs.
